Thames River-Southbank

Walking along the southbank is exciting and enjoyable;there are many things to see and many places to visit.

On the 2nd Tuesday of December, we took a break to walk along the southbank with my classmate and tutor,
We took buses and got off at Westminster Bridge. The former Greater London Council Hall(1965-1986) is still there. Now, it has become a luxury five star hotel. The London eye is a famous landmark in in London and is just next to the hotel. It's the most popular tourist attraction in the UK with nearly 4 million people visiting every year.

If you walk toward , Waterloo Bridge is only few minutes away from the big wheel. There are famous theatres such as National Theatre, Royal Festival Hall and Queen's Elizabeth Hall.

We then went to the OX tower which locates in the London ank cultural area. The building was originally constructed as a power station for the post office. In the end, it become a factory where the manufactured OXO beef stock cubes. The building now has art galleries and restaurants. On the top level of the building, you can see riverside attractions such as Tate Modern Museum, St Pall's Cathedral and Millennium Bridge. The scenery is breathtaking and beautifully. We took lots of photos there.

At the end, we had tea, coffee and snacks together. We really enjoyed the trip. It's exciting and unforgettable experience.
